I am no Puneet

There is a guy named Puneet out there who looks like me. How do I know about that? Well, let me tell you a story.

I entered this metro and stood to one side knowing very well that it will get crowded soon. After five minutes I realize that this guy sitting on a seat is staring at me, I look at him and he hesitates and then looks away. Then I notice him looking at me again, he is looking at me in the manner of enquiry and I realize that. So I plan to ignore him and continue standing, looking around and observing people.

After a while, he points towards me and says- “Tumhara naam Puneet hai kya?” (Is your name Puneet?), I tell him no and he is like um..Okay. Believe me., he was a little disappointed but that is again life. It is full of disappointments but let’s not get into that. I turned out and laughed it was funny for me.

Well, Mr. Puneet I am not really sure if we look alike or not but that guy did confuse me with you.

Well, Mr. Puneet I am not really sure if we look alike or not but that guy did confuse me with you.
I wish you good luck and I wish that gentleman good luck and he may find you very soon.

*Raises glass* To Puneet and to me!

Bye! my friends, until next random entry here. And yep see this photograph too. 🙂

From the Book Fair

A book you want to finish

Page 410- “The kind of a book that you want to finish but you also want to read slowly”

I finished reading The Book Thief yesterday. Now imagine, completing a book like this when you are in public and that too in an almost overcrowded metro. A wrong decision there but I had to complete those last 50 pages because if I didn’t do that then I would have got time to read only late at night.

Something about the book- Just a short story about a girl called Liesel Meminger and believe me you’d want to read it. And this one won’t take much time! Why? Because you will find yourself turning pages, or scrolling if you read on electronic devices. An amazing journey with many different characters that I will remember for a long time. Would really recommend it.

Here is one photograph I took when I was reading it late at night- view it in HD here.

Harry Potter Always- Photo Post

Harry Potter Always

Photography is undoubtedly one of my favorite things in the world. I really like settings things and playing with light and recently I started to take photographs of the books I own. So I got this nice deal and bought The Hogwarts Library and they looked real nice.

I took out my weapon, and mounted my new 50mm like a boss and started taking photographs.

Title of this post was suggested by Miss Book Thief, Thanks Miss. 😉

Book Fair 2016

Went to the Book Fair 2016 in Delhi last Sunday. There was a long queue to get into the fair, had to wait for almost half an hour.
Had a good time and bought these books besides some urdu ones for my mother.
If you happen to be in Delhi, then going to the fair would be a good idea. 🙂

Books & more

Today I decided to sort my books in an order. Had to put the read ones apart from the ones that need to be read in this year or in the coming ones.  As usual I had my camera ready with my new 50mm 1.8G lens mounted. Believe me that lens is a wonder. I am gonna write its review and post some more pictures taken from that.
I have ditched my 18-55mm for sometime now. Below are several photographs I took today. 🙂

The Pyramid

Mr. Mankell died of cancer some weeks ago. He is one of my favourite writers, having read several of his Kurt Wallander series I decided to pick this one up. This is where you get to read about how Kurt became a detective, read till page 70 and so far it is good.

Lastly, he was and is an inspiration to me.

The Forty Rules Of Love

I have finally completed this book I have been talking about( The Forty Rules of Love by Elif Shafak). This is an achievement for me and believe me when I tell you that this was one fine read. I started reading this book on 15 April 2015 and I took my time because I find it hard to read on mobiles/laptops (this was an eBook). But I did not stop in the middle and continued with it, read it during my recovery after surgery and read it while commuting, read it whenever I could.
Now I took more than 6 months to complete this book and I don’t regret it. I had to start over several times but I am glad I didn’t stopped reading.
Coming to the topic, this is not a review of the book because I don’t think I will be able to write one(not right after I am done reading it). But this is a post just to tell you that the book was great and I’d suggest you to read it as well. 🙂

Book – And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie

Yesterday I completed this book by Agatha Christie called “And then there were none“.

I’m not going to review it but I’ll write down my personal thoughts about this novel.I liked the story,it was amazing and hard to put down without knowing and anticipating what would happen next but I was a little disappointed in the ending of the story.I expected much more. It is however an amazing book, people who like fiction, mystery, thriller, suspense would love it undoubtedly.I gave 4 stars to it on my Goodreads.

Next up on my reading list is “To kill a mockingbird by Harper Lee

Thoughts about – “Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck”

Of Mice and MenOf Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Amazing,I loved it.
Loved how things work between people and makes them do things they never imagined doing.
After reading some more reviews here,I am amazed that people call it crap.If you don’t like it then say it but stop labeling it as crap.To each his own.
