Chipped Wall

Chipped wall of my house. I am currently sitting on my sofa in a rented flat in a metro city. The wall right in front is chipping and there are two lamps. Surprisingly, one of them never works and the cheap painting I got from Lajpat Nagar never gets the light it deserves.

My favorite chair is very close to the wall but over the years it has left its mark. Next to it is my other treasured investment. A bookshelf that proudly houses my collection of books. A lot of these books are borrowed from my brother but I am still proud of the whole thing. At one point, I used to have more ‘read’ books but things have changed and I don’t read as much as I’d want to.

Back to the chipped wall. The painting is not in the center, one of the two lamps never work and the bookshelf is overcrowded with books, notebooks and other things. You might be wondering why am I talking so much about a wall and a bookshelf and to be honest I haven’t got a clue.

For the past few months, I’ve struggled with writing and staying focused. You know when you are trying to fix something without knowing what needs to be fixed. Situations? Others? Or yourself? While I continue to do that this chipped wall of my rented flat made me write this.

Also, Happy Diwali 🙂
