Mere din raaton mai ghul gaye
Raat ka maqsad hi khatam ho chala
Gaflat mai padha main
Raat ko guzarta dekh gaya
Subah ko maine
Aasmano ke woh rang bhi dekhe

Ghane baadlon ne din ko gher rakha tha
Par na baarish thi na koi hawa thi
Ek andhera sa tha
Din main bhi raat si thi

Aur kuch isi tarah
Mere din raaton mai ghul gaye
Aur raat ka maqsad hi khatam ho chala tha
